Terms & Conditions - Spiral Stairs Direct

Returns Policy, and cancellations

1. These terms and conditions apply to Consumers only and exclude trade or professional customers.
2. Notification of cancellation of an order, must be given by the customer in writing within 7 working days of delivery. We are unable to accept cancellations given verbally over the phone. We regret we cannot accept items for return after 7 working days have elapsed since delivery.
3. Goods must be returned to Spiral Stairs Direct, complete, undamaged, and sealed in their original packing, at the customers own cost. We are unable to accept goods for return which have been opened, assembled or part assembled, unless faulty. Returned goods will be assessed by our quality control team prior to any refund being issued. Orders cancelled after despatch, but prior to delivery, will be refunded less the carriers fee, once the goods have been returned to us.
4. At our discretion we may elect to collect goods from the customer using a nominated Carrier, or we may request the Customer to arrange their own return transport. Refunds are limited to the cost of the goods less any post and packing. Where postage and packing costs are not specified in our advertising or on our website, (or are advertised as included in our selling price), they will be charged at the rate of 10% of the sales value of the goods including Vat.
5. Refunds are made within a maximum 30 days of the return of the goods.
6. Products excluded from the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 include Made to order and Made to Measure Goods, or Goods otherwise supplied to a Customers personal requirements or specifications.
7. Made to Order and Made to Measure Goods cannot be cancelled once production has started except by the written consent of Spiral Stairs Direct. Such cancellation may be subject to costs and fees to be determined by Spiral Stairs Direct.
8. Off the Shelf Goods returned to Spiral Stairs Direct by the customer will be refunded less any costs incurred in returning the goods to stock, such costs not to exceed 15% of the value of the goods including Vat.
9. Title of the goods passes to the Customer on delivery. In the event that a product is returned to our stock, responsibility for care of the goods remains solely with the customer until the goods have been delivered to Spiral Stairs Direct.
10. In the unlikely event that a component is delivered faulty or damaged, we reserve the right to offer a replacement component. Our liability is limited to the supply of the replacement component only.

Delivery Information

1. Whilst we endeavour to deliver Goods within the lead times stated, occassionally delays occur which are outside our control. For this reason we cannot guarantee specific delivery dates. Spiral Stairs Direct will not be liable for any costs incurred by the Customer due to delays caused by outside agents. These include but are not limited to, Strikes, Traffic Delays, Problems with Access, Riot, Acts of God, War and terrorism.
2. Short deliveries or items damaged on receipt must be noted on the delivery note, and Spiral Stairs Direct should be notified within 24 hours of the delivery.
3. Most Staircase deliveries are made on 18 tonne lorries with tail lift facility, to the kerbside. Goods may not be delivered if the driver considers the access is unsuitable. Deliveries which cannot be completed, such as no answer at the delivery address, will be returned to the nearest depot and a re-delivery charge will apply.
Planning and Building Regulations
Your purchase may be subject to Building Control and Planning Consent. Customers are advised to contact their relevant Local Authority Department to determine the suitability of specific products for their project prior to purchase. Customers are responsible for ensuring they obtain all necessary consents prior to installation. Due to the diverse nature of of customers projects, Spiral Stairs Direct does not warrant or guarantee the suitability of products for a given project.

General Information

Staircase kits are a complete staircase in a crate, delivered in component form. They do not include components to make landing or stairwell balustrading, which are generally available as optional extras. Customers are advise that they are responsible for ensuring that the landing and stairwell areas are sufficiently protected in accordance with the current Building Regulations.

Our products are guaranteed for 10 years against manufacturing defects. Our liability is limited to the supply of replacement parts only, where it has been determined that the part has a manufacturing fault. Our guarantee excludes Fair Wear and Tear, abuse or misuse of the product, faulty installation and workmanship, goods which have been altered or adapted in any way.
 
Price Match Policy (code 010709)
We endeavour to match any genuine advertised price for selected products on a like for like basis. Goods must be in stock at a genuine approved staircase dealer in the UK. Excludes dealers offshore or otherwise not based in the UK. Goods must be brand new, boxed and offered with a full manufacturers warranty. Verbal or email quotations will not be accepted under this scheme. We reserve the right to withdraw a Price Match offer at any time. A Price Match offer is not a binding contract until the order has been confirmed by Spiral Stairs Direct.
